Living and working overseas for some time now, Els & David now call London home. The plan was to come home to Adelaide for the wedding but the idea of a pre wedding photo shoot in amongst the awesome history, architecture and unique character that is London was flagged! So, we made it happen...
This experience was pretty unreal. I made a lot of time to scout out some great locations, both by myself and with Elaine and David. Scouting is something I always find myself doing. I rarely photograph a wedding without visiting the area we will be in, and the surrounding 'burbs' Doing a scout in London is a pretty easy thing really, It's important to find inspiring angles, and creative takes on those famous spots. Elaine was pretty keen to feature St Paul's Cathedral. The obvious photograph is to pop them on the steps, in the foreground of the church and snap away. To me that would just be a little to 'done before' - so off we go, for a walk and found just the best options to photograph this icon of London. Red London Bus - same deal, we can photograph that with a little more flair surely!!
